In light of recent events, may I encourage you to focus your eyes on Jesus? You’re experiencing so much loss, pain, and sadness in these current days. I’m sorry.
I love your fire. Your zeal is contagious. You remind me of the time when I first fell in love with Jesus. And you remind me to seek God for a fresh wind and a fresh fire. You carry a revival of Spirit and Truth in unity.
Do not lose heart. Do not give up. You were born for this time in history. Get refreshed in the Lord, hydrate, put on new clothes, and keep running for Christ.
Please take time to mourn fully. Grieve before the Lord. And forgive. Please don’t allow anger to grow bitter roots in your hearts. To become bitter and want revenge would be playing into the schemes of the enemy, Satan.
“When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.”
Luke 23:33-34 NIV
If you want to carry on the revival fire that’s been sparked in your generation, then fix your eyes on Jesus. Take up the cross, which the fallen have left behind. Read God’s word. Know Him first. Cultivate faith in the truth of the Gospel with thanksgiving, prayer and worship.
Love God. He loved you first. Forgive others, and love them. God forgave you and loved you first.
““Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.”
Joel 2:12-13 NIV
Jesus is the door to redemption. Forgiveness is the key to entering in. Love and forgiveness will soften hearts and draw sinners to the truth. Jesus portrayed love by forgiving those who persecuted Him. He forgave those who set Barabas free and killed Him instead.
Love God because He loved you first. Love others because God loved you first and gave Himself as a sacrifice so that you can love Him and love others.
Perhaps Charlie Kirk discipled you or simply inspired you to love truth and proclaim Jesus boldly. Now he’s taught you what Jesus already showed us on the cross. The disciples followed Jesus and most of them died for sharing the Gospel. It’s a fact, all of us will die or experience Christ’s return. Be found, on your last day, with oil in your lamps, watchful, and inviting others into God’s adopted family.
“While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.”
Acts 7:59-60 NIV
Read Hebrews 11. God wants you to know that He is good, but sharing the Gospel is not safe. Your security is in Him. Your life is sealed in Him. Run your race for Christ, the great cloud of witnesses are cheering you on…. Those of us who are older are running behind you, and trying to keep up.
““And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.”
Joel 2:28-32 NIV
This is why I encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus. Imitate His life and values. Study Him and devote yourself to relationship with Him and your siblings in Christ. Read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation allowing the Holy Spirit to counsel and direct you. I implore you to follow the example of the Apostle Paul, who was captivated by Christ, reformed and redeemed from his zealous and murderous ways.
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Ephesians 4:1-6 NIV
Young followers of Christ, I love you and I pray for you all. You are the remnant. I pray for you to love God first. And then people. To love God more than you love a personality. I pray for you to love God’s word more than the platform or the cause.
I’m cheering you on, and praying you will be strengthened in your faith, fortified by the Holy Spirit, and be the generation prepared to welcome Christ as He returns with His Kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven.
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
