I see darkness. A spot of light illuminates a man hunched over on the floor. He’s grieving. The atmosphere is heavy with loss and isolation. But there’s a spot of Light. El Roi, the God who sees me.
It would be easy right now to succumb to the ugly, angry and violent images on screens everywhere spewing so much noise of impending doom and gloom. But I resist. Usually it’s something that thrills my heart like a cloud formation or a bird or the sky lit up in a pinkish orange hue. Sometimes though, it’s something I know will rev his engine with excitement like the full moon bright and setting behind the mountain, and I just don’t want him to miss it.
