Dear Children,

You are creative.

You are!

We want you to believe that you are creative.

*God made the sun, moon and stars. And God made the trees. Genesis 1*

May we tell you how I know you are creative?

We know because God designed you. He thought of you and knew you before you were even born. While your mommy and daddy were just finding out that you were becoming a part of their family, God had already designed the color of your hair, the shape of your nose and ears, and He already knew what size shoes you would wear.

God created you out of His own imagination. He used the DNA of your mommy and daddy as His building blocks, and He protected you inside your mommy while He knit your body together. God fed you through your mommy. He created a bond with your parents through your ears as you could begin to recognize their voices.

God is creative. He created the world we live in – all the things you love. He made animals like turtles and giraffes, fish and birds. He made the sun, the moon and the stars that twinkle in the sky at night. He created music, and laughter and designed our bodies to cry tears. He created emotion and relationship.

God made our food like these blueberries.
Genesis 1

God loves you and us. God loves everyone you can think of, and His love teaches us how to love Him too.

God is creative. He is your Heavenly Father. The one who designed you in His own image. And because He designed you in His own image, He made you creative.

Children, we want you to grow into all the creative possibilities God has designed for you. We want you to thank God for making you creative. We want you to believe the truth about God and who He made you to be.

Will you pray with us and believe you are creative?

Good morning, God

Thank You for making a new day. Thank You for creating all the things of earth that I love. The sun, moon and stars, the clouds, and water. Thank You for making animals like dogs and cats, turtles and giraffes, and the fish and birds.

God, thank You for making me. Thank You for my beautiful hair, fingernails and toes. Thank You for eyes to see and ears to hear, and a voice to sing and speak. I want to know how You make me creative. I believe that you are creative and so am I. Will You teach me about singing, painting, drawing and designing beautiful dinners? Will you teach me what You want me to know about my own creativity. I want to be creative and make beautiful things like You, God.

Thank You for my mommy and daddy. Thank You for being creative. Thank You for loving me. I love You too.
