We all have roots. Some are tangled. Some are stunted. Some tap into unclean waters. Some run into concrete barriers. Generational stuff is real. Talk to Jesus about your roots.
Heโs the Master Gardener. He knows what to do to break you free. He knows how to replant you, water you in His Living Water, and break you through any barrier for the cultivation of generations coming after you!
Yes, He chose you to be the overcomer by His victorious sacrifice and shed blood. Donโt be a victim. Be a hero for your generations and your family name.
Be the one โฆ the Moses, the Joshua, leading your family out of bondage. It starts with you. Get free in Jesusโ name, and then start walking. Walk in His Truth and Light. Yes, you!
โBlessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not witherโ whatever they do prospers.โ

I am a curious follower of Jesus. I have been since my early twenties when I met Him personally and received miraculous healing in my body and mind.
After many years of marriage and raising sons into the teen years, I received a challenge to explore the duplicity of my spoken faith followed up by my fearful living choices. It was my two sons, who loved me enough to confront me with the truth. They called out the hypocrisy of fear, and I am forever thankful.
Chips off my proverbial block! I determined then to overcome fear with faith that was more than words.
Years ago, with my eyes open to my sin of unbelief I made a decision to leave the desert wandering behind and set out to pursue the abundant life Jesus promised His disciples. God has been faithful to teach me, grow me up, and help me to let go of all the things that used to mean security to me.
My passion is to walk so closely to Jesus that others want to know Him too. I love to introduce women to Him as we walk, talk, and work together hand in hand through everyday life. Nothing thrills me more than to watch someone fall in love with Jesus through His word; learning to trust His heart and receive His great love!
I have been married to my dear man for over 36 rollercoaster years. We're simply thrilled that our latter days are more joyful and purposeful than our first. Together we have helped to grow two young men, who are now married with their own families. God is continuing to help them write their own faith stories. Additionally, we share our home with an old rescue pup.
I look forward to having you join me here to fix our eyes on Jesus and shine with His radiance,
Lisa

Love this! Be the one, be the hero for your generations! What a legacy we could leave for those coming after us!
Thank you Barbara! I agree & thank you for the scripture in Colossians. Eyes on Jesus and Shine!
This reminds me of Colossians 2:7–I like the New Living Translation of this: “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”
I read somewhere that the root system has to be deep and broad for the tree to be stable. May we be deeply rooted in Him.
Thank you, Linda! Your words mean a lot to me. Thank you for sharing ๐ธ๐ชด
Wow, Lisa. This is a powerful, hopeful exhortation and gracious invitation. I’ll be sharing, friend …
Thank you! Thatโs what I think too. Just the picture of roots is a lesson, and then God has so much to say about them in His word. I actually took the picture because it reminds me of the tree all the neighborhood kids retreated to during hot summer days growing up in South Florida. The more I looked at the picture, the more Holy Spirit spoke of spiritual things.
Lisa, your photo of the tree and its root system speaks an entire message without uttering a single word. “Be a hero for your generations and your family name.” Amen.
