Wisdom existed before me. When I was born in 1962, wisdom had long spoken, taught and proven herself faithful. Wisdom will outlive me as well. And as I continue to grasp some nuggets of this truth, I become more appreciative of the human capacity to learn.

โCome and learn.โ
Thus, has been the Lordโs precious invitation to me over many months, which now, I realize, is about to become two full years. Even as I sit most days in the quiet of a new dawn, I reflect on the kindness of God to desire to share with me the grandeur and glory of continually becoming the fullness of His original design for me.
Do you ever wonder what you look like in the eyes of God?
In my faith-filled imagination, I regularly picture a look of satisfaction and pure delight on the face of Jesus, and receive a nod of affirmation as I learn something new by spending time with Him. Sometimes He seems to be a Teacher approving His student. Other times I feel His presence as a Father lovingly and protectively teaches His child.
Can you imagine His delight in you?
But then again, there are seasons, as is this current season for me, that I watch a Creator developing His creation. God is a master ceramicist creating His masterpiece – valuable, useful and exquisite in design.
Or He is an expert architect creating the home of His dreams; a sanctuary perfectly suited for His dwelling place.
Have you ever wondered how God might want to renovate you from the inside out simply because you are His chosen home?

โWisdom has built her house; she has carved its seven columns. She has prepared a great banquet, mixed the wines, and set the table. She has sent her servants to invite everyone to come. She calls out from the heights overlooking the city.
From Proverbs 9.
God, out of His Creator wisdom and Fatherly love, has always known how to best spark in me a desire to learn. He knows that He must keep me moving. He continually challenges my perspective and judgments by nudging me out of my comfort zone. Just when I feel fully settled in, satisfied with all that I know, and good with my progress, a shift occurs.
This last move from east coast to west coast has created for me more questions than answers. Best of all, this invitation to โcome and learnโ has exposed my pride, self-sufficiency, and judgments. Iโve been humbled in all the best ways by the constant realization that I donโt know all that I thought I knew.
Iโm so grateful for the revelation that I have so much more to learn, and that my days of growing and becoming are not finished.
Wisdom has always existed. Long before my birth, and well before everything we know, and count on was ever created, wisdom already conquered her adversaries. Wisdom has built her house on a firm foundation. Long carved and sturdy are her pillars. Sheโs withstood the test of time and human nature. Sheโs stronger than our attempts to be right or judge or determine our own fate.
โCome in with me,โ she urges the simple. To those who lack good judgment, she says, โCome, eat my food, and drink the wine I am have mixed. Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment.โโ

Best of all, wisdom is hospitable. She already set her table and prepared her feast. Jesus is the honored guest who always adorns the Head of her gathering. And the invitation is ours to receive.
โCome and learn.โ
This is Christโs invitation. Itโs not solely for me. Itโs for you. Wisdom beckons us all to โleave your simple ways behind, and begin to live;โ To begin to live, isnโt that an irresistible invitation?
I wonder. Is this invitation also offensive? Many of us are highly educated, as well as firmly indoctrinated, so much so that it might seem a bit off-putting to consider our ways as simple. But if weโre not willing to be challenged, and if our thinking and doing is rote, then I believe wisdomโs invitation might be worthy of our pondering.
Iโll see you at the tableโฆ
Live Love Brightly,
Lisa

Beautiful to think on. I know I have much to learn and am grateful He is a most patient teacher. As He extends the invitation to come and learn, may I always be willing to receive from Him.
“Have you ever wondered how God might want to renovate you from the inside out simply because you are His chosen home?” This question really encourages my heart, Lisa. How much He loves us and chooses to dwell in us and renovate our hearts in His plan is such amazing grace! Love and blessings to you!
