It's the real life stories, as we race together, spurring one another on to the finish line, which inspires me to write. It's exciting to think that through our stories someone who is losing steam might receive a shot of adrenaline to press on and win the prize of their inheritance.
Good Shepherd, my Shepherd, You prepare for all Your lambs the best foods - no matter the pasture land. And I get to come to Your banquet table to dine with You in Light, Peace and JOY because You Shepherd have commanded the enemy to stand at bay while we feast together.
"Mom, I want to play the piano." Well, we didn't have a piano, but my friend next door had one. I loved to sit with her on the bench and watch her fingers move over the keys creating a beautiful melody to fill the air. I wanted to be able to play too.

And so with the limited vision of standing at the beginning of something new, I am determined to let go and follow Jesus wherever He leads. I feel the security of remembering His past faithfulness. And yet, I am fully aware of the ambivalence of knowing not the path nor the destination of His leading.
It's fascinating, isn't it, if we think about Abram as real man who lived with his father's household, had a wife and people working for him, who tended livestock for a living, and that one day God leaned into Abram's world with an assignment. Can you imagine?
