Please pass the encouragement …

Where would we be without the encouragement of a friend? Friends help carry the load. Friends, real friends, listen and ask Jesus what He thinks. A friend who hears your heart cradles it, and lets a tear fall on it while you catch your breath.

{A timely word}

A friend tells you to turn your eyes toward Jesus. I am so grateful for a few precious friends who pray, who rejoice in victory, and help wash the wounds of loss.

Do you have at least one friend who can hear you? Pray with you? Read scripture over you? Tell you not to quit? Do you have at least one?

In the comments, thank a friend by name for something they’ve said or done for you that felt like a cool cup of fresh water offered in a dry season. I’m thanking my long time friend, Jess Dudley, for a timely word, and for asking Jesus about us. I just can’t thank you enough.

Pray with me:
Lord Jesus, for the one reading right now who feels she doesn’t have a friend in the world, will you introduce yourself? Will you show her or him that you are real and alive and the best friend anyone could ever have?

And in your perfect timing would you introduce this dear soul to a new friend in Christ? Have your way in us, Jesus. Meet us in our struggles, our joys, and our defeats.

Thank you for never leaving or giving up on us. And thank you for the dear reader who stopped long enough to take some encouragement. Bless him. Bless her. And rejuvenate your sons and daughters to carry on, to glorify your name, and to pass around the encouragement to another weary soul.

Thank you, Jesus, and I love you because you loved me first.

Eyes on Jesus and Shine,

Lisa

Something to ponder:

““How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five—and two fish.” They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand.”
