On Mother’s Day

We rejoice with she who rejoices.

We weep with she who weeps.

We pray blessings on all the women who have battled hard in their prayers to have a child, and for all who graciously adopted another woman’s child.

We give thanks for moms who have won victories through tears on their knees, and those whose prayers were answered differently. We validate your rent hearts, shattered dreams and grief. And we offer a place for you to share your story because we see you brave.

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We hug you with affirmations and say ‘Well done, Mom!” because we know you’ll never believe you did enough. You see yourself lacking and wish you knew then what you know now. But you forget often that you were chosen to be the one for them and now. You forget how much you are cherished.

We applaud you Mom for all the times you cheered a little too loudly on the sidelines. You know we could hear you. And no matter the distance or the task at hand, we still hear you cheering us on.

Thank you for being a momma under the care of the Good Shepherd. You’ve exemplified the way of love, care, generosity and steadfastness that causes young ones to look up, reach out, and emulate what you’ve taught.

We’re grateful Good Shepherd that you promise to care tenderly for our Mom. She’s a good one so please guard her heart and hold her close. We’re counting on your promises.

“I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭46‬:‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Have a beautiful Mother’s Day as you live love brightly,

Lisa

Something to ponder with Jesus:

What qualities of your mom do you admire most?

Looking back, why did God choose your mom to guide and nurture you?

Give thanks, no matter your relationship with your mom, that she gave you life.

Applaud a mom today. Tell her she’s doing a good job. Value what is good. Offer to help where you see a need.
