A Joy to Know You Tried to Play

"Mom, I want to play the piano." ย Well, we didn't have a piano, but my friend next door had one. ย I loved to sit with her on the bench and watch her fingers move over the keys creating a beautiful melody to fill the air. ย I wanted to be able to play too.

Drop what you hold…

And so with the limited vision of standing at the beginning of something new, I am determined to let go and follow Jesus wherever He leads. ย I feel the security of remembering His past faithfulness. ย And yet, I am fully aware of the ambivalence of knowing not the path nor the destination of His leading.

That one day

It's fascinating, isn't it, if we think about Abram as real man who lived with his father's household, had a wife and people working for him, who tended livestock for a living, and that one dayย God leaned into Abram's world with an assignment. Can you imagine?
