Dear shiney readers,
If you are reading this as an email subscriber, I want to thank you for your faithful support of me and my writing. I would write anyway, but it’s so much more fun and motivating to keep the conversation going in community. Most of you are iron sharpening my iron.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for your comments and helpful feedback. Thank you for sharing my work, and asking for more.
So, here’s the big news: I’m moving my words to Substack. I am hopeful you will join me at Substack as a subscriber. You can subscribe for free or if you feel called to financially support me as a writer sharing the Gospel online, you could choose a paid subscription.
You might wonder why after 9 years of steady writing and gaining a following I would shake things up with a move. A number of factors have led me to slowly begin the switch over.

- A big reason is financial stewardship
- The cost of maintaining this website has increased greatly over the years. I now spend $250-300 per year on maintaining my blog site.
- Substack is free to me as a writer. My only cost is time. (Also free to you as a subscriber unless you chop to pay for content.)
- Substack makes it easy for readers to offer financial support with paid monthly or annual subscriptions.
- Techno exhaustion
- Maintaining a website has become too technologically challenging and frustrating to me. All the technology offered to make my website more appealing requires a steep learning curve and takes time away from writing.
- It’s more technology to manage and learn at a high financial cost to me.
- I’m moving much of my previous writings (since 2017) over to Substack so that it won’t be lost.
- If it was free then it will be free now for subscribers.
- If it’s a book now or will become a book, the draft writings will be available to paid subscribers
- Loyal readers: if you contact me with your email address I will be happy to comp you a 6-month subscription.
- You can unsubscribe at anytime.

I love writing as God teaches me. I love His words (The Bible) and conversing with my Creator. He’s teaching me so much at this stage of life. I feel like a spongy toddler trying to soak it all in. And I want to share. I want to make Jesus attractive to the curious. I want to point others to Him as their life and hope. He’s Who we’ve all been looking for…
I have books I want to write.
And all of it requires that I be a careful steward of my time, energy and focus, and finances.
I hope you will download the Substack app. I hope you will search Lisa R. Brittain and Eyes on Jesus and Shine. I would love it if you would become a subscriber. It’s free! {There’s an option for becoming a Paid Subscriber, but there’s no expectations on my part. I will not try to sell you.}
God bless you for your generosity, either way. Your time and prayers are more valuable than your dollars. Regardless, all of your efforts to encourage and spur me on to keep writing are appreciated.
I’m very aware of your presence out there. I feel your nudges to keep going. I know you pray for me, and I’m pretty sure we will be neighbors in Heaven one day and for eternity!
Also, I am praying for you and thanking God for you – all my subscribers.
““ ‘ “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’”
Numbers 6:24-26 NIV

Eyes on Jesus and Shine,
~Lisa
PS – let me know if you’re moving with me. And if you are, please bring a friend. There’s some amazing Jesus following, Christ-centered content at Substack!
Love you and come on… move with me…please! As most women do, I like to travel in a pack – a gaggle, if you will.

Lois, I will keep you posted. And I will share nuggets as I learn. Promise!
I hope switching to Substack goes well for you, Lisa. I totally understand your reasons for moving there. I’ve thought about doing the same, but didn’t want to lose all the content on my website. I’m curious about how to move posts rom a blog to Substack; I might have to check in with you about that sometime. Anyway, I’ve subscribed and look forward to reading your words over there.
