Imagine…
God, Creator of all that exists, created you and me with imagination. Imagination that is focused on Christ, His Word, and fueled by the Holy Spirit is beautiful and becomes more and more sanctified as we submit our imagination to our Great and Triune God.
So, pray with me, and ask the Holy Spirit to add sight to your imagination. Read with me this Scripture from the Old Testament.
“Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp. Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise up, and each would stand at his tent door, and watch Moses until he had gone into the tent. When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the Lord would speak with Moses. And when all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, each at his tent door. Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.”
Exodus 33:7-11 ESV

Imagine… Jesus inviting you to enter His Tent. Imagine yourself receiving His invitation …Imagine stepping into His Tent of Meeting.
What do you see in your imagination? Don’t hurry. Wait. Let your eyes adjust. Keep a journal near. Write down. What do you feel in your emotions? What do you see?
Where is Jesus?
As you allow your imaginative eyes to adjust, what do you desire to do or say as you begin to recognize the presence of Immanuel, Jesus.
Perhaps, like me, all you desire is to bow in His presence, because the only gift you have to offer is your heart.
You’re not sure what will happen,
But somehow His presence provokes an overwhelming honesty and trust in you.
And you give Him your heart…
Tattered and torn, bruised and worn out…
And for the very first time you know you are safely home with Immanuel. Fully loved, accepted and delighted in…
